Podcast!

I had the fortunate opportunity to feature with Melanie De Gioia and Dom De Gioia on the Engineering Heroes podcast! My first podcast!

We had a relaxing conversation online about my career journey from being a site engineer to the boardroom. My Engineering Heroes podcast covered ‘Engineers on Boards’ and discussed the need for technical diversity, and especially engineers, around the board table.

Given engineers have unique traits and only 3% of board directors come from a STEM background (less for engineers), there is scope for improvement. As accountants and lawyers are important to a board’s compliance, so are engineers particularly those boards responsible for physical assets and infrastructure.

Thank you to Mel and Dom for great fun and a great recording session!
